Great looking shoe. Gave this pair as a gift. The young man loves them. Accurate fit. Hold up as well as any skate shoe I\'ve purchased to date.

When I put these shoes on they fit amazingly (due to the vulcanized bottom sole) and the insole is soooooo soft. They give you great board feel. The only flaw with these is that they get flat spots quicker than most shoes, but that goes for all Emerica’s. Made even the worst grip tape feel like mob.

These shoes were great while they lasted. Very comfortable and looked really cool, I even threw in some red laces just for contrast to the Grey/Black. They skated even better, but after about 2 months, the sole on the right shoe started coming unglued. I fixed it, but that was the only problem with these shoes.

Emerica Hsu Grey/Black - Very good skate shoe, as all Emericas are. Great grip, flick, and comfortable. My only complaint is that the insole is practically nothing, my knees hurt within 15 minutes of wearing them. I put in some nicer insoles, though, and the problem was solved.

Emerica Hsu - The Hsu is a really great shoe. Just be aware that when they said its a "skinny srtraight up skater", they were not joking. It feels a little weird the first day or so, but that’s it, especially because I was used to Reynolds which are super floppy. I like the shoe, it just takes a little bit, but other than the skinny part, it’s pretty solid.

Uncomfortable and poorly constructed - The way the tongue is sewn into the shoe creates a big bump that digs into my foot. Also, one of the shoes I received had really bad stitching.

Jerry Hsu - These shoes were very comfortable and were great for learning new tricks. But only after 2 weeks I had a huge hole on the right shoe and a little bit of tearing on the left shoe. Even though they didn’t last that long, they were great while they lasted.

Great - Shoe is great, padding, grip, and support. I also loved the grip wear you flick, they're a lot like vans just more comfortable. Go buy these now.

So I enjoyed the look of the shoe but as soon as I put it on I realized it was the most uncomfortable shoe ever. It could be that this shoe in particular was made incorrectly but the seam in the bottom of the tongue just digs into my foot. Also three days into actual use of the shoe, the sole on the inside of the right shoe completely separated from the leather. I hope I can scrape more than a month’s worth of use out of these shoes, but I severely doubt it. This is a weak shoe.

Love the shoe - Loved the shoes but found they run a bit wide. I have a narrow foot and should have bought the narrow instead of the medium. Had to buy some pads so they would fit the foot better.

Pretty good - These are good shoes but the mid-top appearance on here looks higher than it is, and the lace protecting falls apart easily. I’ve skated these for a while but they didn’t hold up like I thought.

The shoes I purchased from Zappos are the second pair of shoes I have ordered for my grandson. Your service is great and as far as I know the first pair of Emerica's wore well and was good quality. He has not worn the latest pair as we bought them for school. The shipping was unbelievable and thrilled him as he usually has to wait for a week to receive things. Great shoes - These shoes are totally wicked sick for skating. They lasted me 2 whole months. The only down side to this shoe is that your heel gets bruised really easy and you don’t want to be getting a heel fracture either. So it just need some better soles.

The shoes were good for skating. I’ve only had them for a little bit, but they’re good so far. The only thing is when I was hiking up a hill, the back of the sole split. But it’s not a big deal.

Hsu First Impressions - Alright, so I got this shoe in the Grey/Black suede colorway yesterday, but this is more of a first impression thing than a review. They were surprisingly more comfortable then I expected since I've heard they weren't that comfortable, but my pair seem fine. I skated 30 minutes in them so far and they have good flick and the grip seems decent… that's all I can tell so far, but I feel they will be good.
