The description says "low rise" and for me, they really are. They came about mid-hip, which is too low for me. I liked the longer length, but they were a tad tight through the thighs. There was some stretch to them, which is always a good thing. The color I ordered was purple wine. Great color; however, I need to return because they fit someone that is slimmer through the hips/waist.
